The 'Keys to the Past' web page of County Durham [www.durham.gov.uk/durhamcc/] informs that the object serving as baptismal font in the Mission-Church at Haswell Plough was originally a holy water stoup found "in a field called Chapel Garth"; in this field "the foundations of what are supposed to have been this [medieval] chapel could be traced".
