Pevsner (1967) notes: "Font. Drum-shaped, Norman, with thin continuous intersecting arches." The basin is cylindrical in shape, with a chamfered underbowl, criss-crossed by round arch-heads; the underbowl chamfer is plain; it has been raised on a plain modern pedestal base, and a moulded lower base, also circular and modern. The octagonal wooden cover sits on a round frame on the basin; the upper rim of the basin shows considerable damage that appears to be related to old cover hardware.
