Although the first reference to Liversedge Christ Church is from ca. 1816, the font looks of a later date, perhaps later in the same century; it consists of an octagonal basin with vertical sides decorated with deeply-carved panels under the upper rim mouldings; the panels contain the symbols of the Four Evangelists, an Agnus Dei, etc.; each panel of the chamfered underbowl is decorated with a large floral motif, and the panels of the octagonal base have tracery and floral motifs as well; octagonal plinth with 'priest's stone'; the wooden is a modern variant of the Jacobean 'ribs-around-a-pivot' style, with a knob finial, though the lower 1/3 of the ribs are joined with curved panels painted a bright green. The font itself is made of the hedious siena-white veined marble that seemed to appeal to some Victorian font makers.
