Noted in Bulmer's Directory of 1890: "The font is circular, resting on nine clustered columns." The inner well of the basin is lead-lined and has a central drain; the clustered columns of the base form a square shape, the colonnettes decorated with moulded capitals and bases; the wooden cover is probably from the same period of the font, the mid 19th century. [NB: we have no information about the previous font[s] in this chapel].
