Noted in Cox (1912): "Octagonal font bears tracery, Tudor rose, and fleur-de-lis on panels." Noted in Pevsner (1970): "Font. Octagonal, Late Gothic, with coarse carving." The Parish web site [http://www.weekstmaryvillage.co.uk/churches/church/church.htm] [accessed 25 November 2007] notes: "The font is octangular and has panels of Gothic tracery, the Tudor rose, and a fleur-de-lis." The font consists of an octagonal basin with vertical sides and a camfered concave underbowl, raised ona a thick pedestal base, also octagonal; there are ornamental motifs on the basin panels, and the lower base is moiulded; the font stands on an octagonal plinth, and has a round wooden cover, probably modern.
