The marble font at St. Stephen's was designed by John Loughborough Pearson and dates from the late 19th century. There are no medieval churches in Bournemouth. White (1878) reports another 19th-century font, octagonal basin raised on eight columns at St. Peter's. The font at St. John's, on Surrey Rd. dates from 1923.
