Cox (1912) reports a font "of Poplyphant stone" in this church. Noted in Pevsner (1970): "Font. Norman, completely plain, square with chamfered corners." The square basin is also chamfered along the lower rim to form a rudimentary underbowl, and it is raised on a square pedestal base and a square lower base or plinth. A recent photograph of the font [www.caerkief.co.uk] shows an unidentified stone object at the foot of the font; it appears to have a drain [not listed in this Index]
