The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Marien_(Bad_Belzig) ]accessed 23 August 2025] notes that the present font is made of sandstone dated ca. 1600 came originally from the monastery at Jüterbog: "Die Fünte ist aus Sandstein gearbeitet und wird auf die Zeit um 1600 datiert. Sie stammt aus der Mönchenkirche in Jüterbog."

Hälfte des 16. Jh., in der St. Marienkirche - Baptismal font, 2nd half of the 16th century, in St. Mary's Church". The font consists of a cylindrical basin with a rounded underbowl raised on a round-to-square pedestal base; the sides of the basin are divided into panel by vertical niches occupied by standing figures; the front panel has the Bptism of Christ in the Jordan scene with angel holding garments and Holy Ghost dove; to the left of this scene is a large cartouche with an inscription [other details not visible in the source]; the round underbowl has also panels divided by architectural motifs with floral and foliage arrangements between them; the pedestal base has mouldings at each end. No cover present. [NB: a June 2024 newsletter of the Förderkreis Alte Kirchen Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. [https://www.altekirchen.de/publikationen/mitteilungsblatt/juni-2024/taufstein-lesepult-und-kerzenleuchter] [accessed 23 August 2025] announced the installation of new ensemble of baptismal font, lectern, and candelabra was installed in the town church of St. Mary in Bad Belzig, the new pieces, created specifically for the medieval church: "In der Stadtkirche St. Marien Bad Belzig wurde ein neues Ensemble aus Taufstein, Lesepult und Kerzenleuchter installiert. Wie geplant wurden die eigens für die mittelalterliche Kirche neu geschaffenen Stücke Anfang März an den Ort ihrer Bestimmung gebracht."
