Noted in Cox (1912): "Square Norm[an] font, with human heads at angles, stands on octagonal shaft." Pevsner (1970) describes St. Pinnock as "a church of little importance", the best part of which is the font: " Norman, of an uncommon type, with corner heads and arms supporting the heavy, wide, square top."
