Noted in Cox (1912): "round font, of Pentewan stone, with good foliated work on bowl, is late in [Norman] period." Described in Pevsner (1970); "Font. Norman, circular, with large leaves in flat relief." Hemispherical basin covered in foliage motifs, on a plain and thin cylindrical shaft; moulded lower base is square; second level also square but modern, as is the octagonal plinth.
