The baptismal font in this church consists of an octagonal basin with curved underbowl; on alternate sides of the upper basin sides are protruding heads, which appear to be two male and two female, all wearing some sort of head-dress; there are metal staples from the old cover at opposite ends of the upper rim; the inner well of the basin is round; the basin is raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base; the lower base is square with trimmed angles; the upper surface of the lower base has been carved to accept colonnettes at the angles, but the shape of the basin does no seem to make this possible; the lower base clearly belongs to an earlier font, perhaps of the 13th century. The font is a composite object created with the lower base of the former medieval font [the rest now lost?], to which was added a new basin and stem in the 16th century. Simple flat font cover; there is also an additional cover in the shape of an octagonal(?) dome bearing an inscription; this one is attached to a pulley contraption to raise it and lower it; it appears to be made of metal and stone.
