Church Notes: original church here 12thC, but present building is 18thC -- five parish churches are said to have existed in Mansilla de las Mulas: "Fue la primera y única Iglesia que existió en Mansilla hasta 1220, año en que surgieron otras cinco Iglesias que fueron desapareciendo en siglos posteriores: S. Miguel, extramuros; S. Lorenzo, S. Nicolás, S. Juan y S. Pedro, y S. Martín, intramuros; esta última se cierra al culto en el año 1911, permaneciendo su torre esbelta."
On-site notes: baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a round-to-square pedestal base; the upper basin side has an inscription in Roman capitals running between two mouldings; the underbowl is decorated with a ribbed pattern, the ribs still showing a reddish coloration of original (?) paint; the base is of two volumes: the upper is cylindrical with fluted pattern to match the ribs of the basin, has two mouldings and is also painted; the lower base is square.
