On-ste notes: baptismal font made of granite, perhaps dating to the original fabric of the church, i.e., ca. 1186 or later, in the early 13th century; the basin is roughly hemispherical, though almost goble-shaped, decorated with a plain horizontal band around the upper end and with a ribbed pattern around the rest of the bowl; at the front, the side now facing east, two symbols: a Tau cross above a pilgrim shell [NB: this church is a main stop in the Camino de Santiago and holds special priviledges related to the pilgrimage]; the pedestal base has two volumes, both round, the upper wider than the lower.
