Described and ilustrated in Blight (1863): "The font [...], standing near the western end of the aisle, has the inwardly curved stem with slender shafts attached, and octagonal bowl, like others of the district previously noticed; the four sides are ornamented with quatrefoils, and the material out of which the font is formed appears to be Caen stone." Noted in Cox (1912): "The 14th cent, octagonal font is chalice-shaped, with quatrefoils on 4 panels." Noted in Pevsner (1970): "Font. C14? With quatrefoils and very crude corner shafts." The Kerrier Deanery web site confirms the presence of this font but describes it as "built of Elvan stone" and belonging to the 14th century [source: www.kerrierdeanery.co.uk [cf. Index entry for Wendron No. 2 for the remains of another font from the desecrated church of St. Methenny]
