Cox (1912) writes: "bowl of a font in rectory garden, and possibly base of one now in use are of same period." Noted in Pevsner (1970): "the remains of a Norman font, the lower part of a tub-bowl ornamented with a simple pattern of large lozenges and a kind of incised roll, not unlike a cable roll, round the base (G.W. Copeland)."
