Bronze baptismal of the late 15th century consisting of a bucket-shaped basin raised on four human figures at 90-degree angles, in the characteristical design of fonts made by bell makers. Described and illustrated in Kroesen and Steensma (2004): "The basin of the font in Wiegboldsbur from 1496, cast by Peter Clockgether, is resting on four knights." Two inscriptions run around the upper and lower basin sides; between them an arcade of pointed arches with foliated spandrels house the Apostles, each carrying his own identifying symbol; at the front, in three separate arches is the Cucifixion: Christ on the cross in the centre arch, Mary and John (?) stand in the adjacent arches.
