Thomas (1983) writes of "a small fine-granite font [...]. This was removed from the Island, reportedly from the ruins of the Chapel, earlier this [i.e., 20th] century; retained by a builder at nearby St Teath who had collection of such stones; and then presented to the parish church at Tintagel, where it is now kept [...] The font, only 33 cm (13 in) high and 56 cm (22 in) across, is probably the oldest item -- late eleventh century? [... or] very early twelfth century". The basin appears roughly -very roughly- cylindrical, with three graded irregular volumes. [cf. Index entries for Tintagel No. 1 & 2 for two other fonts listed for this church]
