Fragment of a baptismal font dated in Raspi Serra (1970) to ca. 1140. Dated in Timmers [in 'Rhein und Maas...', 1972: p. 283] -who questions that the head was part of a baptismal font- to ca. 1160. Little (1987) relates this fragment to the font at The Cloisters, in New York, and to the Ile-de-France workshop that carved the heads on the archivolt of the central portal at St. Denis. Described and illustrated in Hartog (2002) as a small head from a mid-12th century baptismal font; the head has characteristics which are "also found on the sculptures of the Maastricht Heimo workshop"; Hartog reiterates the similarity of this head with the heads on the font at The Cloisters.
