Described and illustrated in Ghislain (1986) as a Romanesque baptismal font probably of the mid-12th century, of the Mosan group, in the 'namurois' style; the four heads and the blind arcade that decorate the basin are very similar to those on the Wauthier-Braine font. Noted in Drake (2002) [the name appears as "Oprebais" in the text but "Opprebais" in the index]. Catalogued and illustrated in Ghislain (2009) as a baptismal font of the Namurois group, filiation de Saint-Séverin-en-Condroz, made of limestone (calcaire de Meuse) ca. 1165-1175, a font consisting of a round basin with four human heads at 90-degree angles, an arcades of round arches on columns with capitals and bases between them; raised on a broad central shaft and four angle colonnettes, the latter questioned in Ghislain (ibid.) as probable replacements; on a square lower with mouldings around the bases of the columns, and a leaf at each angle.
