There are thre entries for Snarford [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF0582/snarford/] [accessed 31 July 2019] none of which mentions cleric or church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF0506582432] notes: "Parish church. C12, C14, C15, C16 and C19 restoration. [...] All fittings C19 except font which is C15 and octagonal with spurred base and in the upper panels heads, shields and foliage." Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with deeply carved sides including the head of Christ, an emblem of the Instruments of the Passion on a shield in a hexagonal cusped frame, a set of large leaves with curled edges, a blank shield, etc.; raised o an octagonal pedestal base; the lower base is also octagonal, with graded mouldings and at least one ball at an angle; on a quadrangular plinth. The wooden cover is octagonal and flat, with a knob handle; appears modern.
