Noted in Pevsner (1971): "Font. Perp[endicular], with a quatrefoild frieze and a panelled stem." Described and illustrated in Richards (1973): "Of the few things remaining from the original church, mention must be made of the pre-Reformation font bowl, now set on a comparatively new base [...] The panels are beautifully carved, and beneath the bowl is a series of delicate heads." Richards (ibid.) quotes the Rev. William Henry Trott, M.A., vicar of Over-Peover (1893-1900), a description of the church interior as it appeared after the 1811 restoration: "The font was situated close to the porch door, on the right hand."
