The municipal site of the town [www.bertree.be] notes a baptismal font of composite nature: the base is dated to the 12th century, while the basin is 15th-century. Vomposite font listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10029037] [accessed 18 August 2025]: "font baptismaux [...] hauteur: 106 cm [...] cuve: XVe; base: XIIe; fût: fin XIXe ou retaillé fin XIXe". The font is a mismatch of parts: the lower base, the oldest, must have belonged to a table-top basin that rested on a broad central shaft and four corner colonnettes, of which only the lower base now remains; the rest of the present font as described above.
