There is an entry for Burrough [Green] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TL6355/burrough-green/] [accessed 18 May 2018], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Pevsner (1970) writes: "Font. Completely plain, octagonal, dated 1672, with nice simple cover." The Victoria County History (Cambridge..., vol. 6, 1978) notes: "There was a church in Burrough Green in 1217. [...] The chancel, which is almost as long as the nave, dates from the 13th century. It may have been extended in the earlier 14th century. [...] plain octagonal font, dated 1672". The octagonal cover painted; dove finial.
