Baptismal font consisting of a round tapring basin raised on an octagonal pedestal base; the basin is large, the sides decorated with a blind arcade of very large trefoil windows inside pointed arches; the underbowl is decorated with a band of motif [it looks like a simple braid or intersecting wavy lines]. The basin has been heavily repaired/reconstructed under the auspices of the current [2005] priest of the parish of Santiago, in the city of La Coruña, who also sponsored the reconstruction of the Romanesque font there [cf. Index entry for Coruña No. 2]. The pedestal base is made of granite and appears modern. [We are grateful to Montserrat Estela, of Barcelona, Spain, for the information on, and photograph of this font]
