The Victoria County History (Bedford, vol. 3, 1912) notes: "The font at the west end of the nave is 14th-century work, with an octagonal bowl panelled on each side and resting on an octagonal panelled shaft and base; the panels are enriched with well-cut conventional flowers, and there appear also a cross flory and the letters I.H.S." Noted in Pevsner (1968): "Font. Big, octagonal, Perp, with quatrefoils, tracery motifs, and other motifs."
