Stabb (1908) writes: "There is a font [...] at the west end of the church with shields bearing arms, on the west side, Courtenay; on the south, Huddersfield; on the north, three fish in a circle, holding each others tails, possibly representing the Holy Trinity; on the east, Huddersfield. The font is probably late 15th century in date." The font consists of an octagonal basin raised on a pedestal base and plinth; the sides of the basin, framed by mouldings at the upper and lower rims, have panels with individual motifs set between two Ogee windows in each side; as indicated in Stabb above, every other panel has a coat of arms, while the remaining panels have tracery motifs; the underbowl is concave, each side decorated with a blank shield; the setm of the base has blank trefoil windows, one on each side; the lower base is moulded nut otherwise plain; the plinth is octagonal and plain. Flat wooden cover, looks modern, with knob finial/handle.
