There is a multiple-place entry that includes Beverley [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TA0339/beverley/] [accessed 11 October 2019] but it mentiones neither cleric nor church in it. Poulsen (1829) wrote that "as the roof fell in, the old font [cf. Index entry for Beverley St Mary's No. 1] was destroyed", but immediately adds in a footnote: "The old font, which is rather smaller than the present one, appears to have been only cracked, and until lately was used as a reservoir for a pump upon some part of the church's property; it has since been removed by the churchwardens, who intend affixing it on a pedestal in the church, to secure its preservation."
