The present baptismal font in this church is of the square type with scalloped undersides, common in Devon; it is noted in Pevsner (1952): "Font. Norman, square, with scalloped under edge." The Cherry & Pevsner 1991 edition adds "much recut". The Norman font has been not onlu re-cut but also altered with a modern marble insert that has been fitted into the old inner basin; the insert is square on the outside and round on the inside; not known whether the original inner opening was square or round.
