Church Notes: there was originally a monastery here in the mid-9thC; present church built 13thC a/p consecration inscription on the east side of the south portal dating building to Era MCCXLI, i.e., 1203 A.D.

Baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin mounted on a round-to-square pedestal base; a moulding on the lower base. The basin appears to be totally new, or to have been drastically re-tooled; the lower base is older; original?
