Noted and illustrated in Stabb (1908): "The font [...] is octagonal, with a thick central shaft, and eight small ones clustering round. On one panel is carved an eagle, on another a fleur-de-lis, and one panel has a shield, without arms." Noted in Pevsner (1952): "Simple Perp[endicular], octagonal with quatrefoil panels." The font is illustrated in an early photograph in the English Heritage National Monuments Record (Ref. No. BB98/06393).
