A fragment of an old font was reported recently [ca. 2003] in the churchyard by Colin and Chris Smith. The surviving fragment a ppears to be the base of a baptismal font: round with a socket at top, then splaying out towars a square bottom that appears decorated with mouldingg on the side. The object appears covered in vegetation, moss and lichens. [We are grateful to Colin and Chris Smith for the photograph of this object]
