Described in Lysons (1806-1822) as an octagonal baptismal font mounted on pillars. A "faculty" (dated September 1891) for the rebuilding of the nave and north aisle of this church is summarised in Paul Howarth's web site [www.pnhowarth.org] and, among the work to be carried out on this order appears an entry related to the baptismal font: "Move font to new baptistry under tower". [NB: we have no confirmation whether or not this particular part of the work was carried out, and Lysons [cf. supra] does not indicate the location of the font inside the church at the time [i.e., ca. 1806-1822]]
