Noted in Pevsner (1952): "Font. Norman, square on five shafts, undecorated." Baptismal font of the table-top type common in the Norman period: a square basin with plain vertical sides, raised on a five-column support (broad central shaft + four slender colonnettes, all round with moulded bases), and a square lower base; polygonal plinth with kneeling stone.
