Reported in the AOC Archaeology Group: 'Calton Hill Conservation Plan' (1999): "The last vestiges of the chapel --said to be only a vaulted ground storey or crypt and a font or holy-water stoup (Wilson 1873, 353)-- were destroyed in 1812-17, when the Regents Bridge was built [...] The putative stoup was removed in 1778 and eventually ended up at Abbotsford (Wilson 1873, 353). The stoup or font is still in existence, although its current location has not been researched for this report."
