Reported in the AOC Archaeology Group: 'Calton Hill Conservation Plan' (1999): The church that "once stood on the south-western side of Low Calton (now Calton Rd) [...] was damaged by Cromwell's troop, but restored in 1653. It was demolished [...] in 1848 [...], eventually rebuilt in 1873 by which it is estimated that 75% of the original masonry had been illicitly re-used elsewhere [...]. The stoup or font is still in existence, although the current location has not been researched for this report".
