The Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland (1882-1885) reported a baptismal font in the choir of the ruins of the old preceptory [or hospital] of Torpichen, "from 1153 the principal Scottish residence of the Knights of St John of Jerusalem" [aka Hospitalers, KnightsTemplar]. No other reports on this font have been located since.
