Baptismal font in which Martin Luther was baptised, and of which only fragments remain. Total renovation of this church interior, for which project it was awarded the "Berliner Architekturbüro AFF mit dem Architekturpreis des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt 2013"; a new round sunken piscina was created in the centre aisle near the altar; a neo-Gothic standard font nearby. The fragmentary remains of the original font in which Luther was baptised are of an octagonal standing font decorated with panels on the basin sides, convex ribbing on the underbowl and stem of the base, and a moulding in the centre ring position; a large part of the basin is missing. [NB: we have on information on the font of the medieval church here]
