Noted in Glynne's 17 April 1869 visit to this church (in Butler, 2007): "The font is very small." The present [November 2004] baptismal font in this church appears modern; it might be considered as a possible re-tooled object were it not for the appearance of the stone, the size of the inner basin well and the lack of a drain. The wooden cover is modern. An earlier font must have existed in this church, but there is no information on it.
