Font Notes:
The baptismal font now located in the apse of the Romanesque church at Einigen may be a re-tooled version of the older font; the basin ia octagonal at the upper rim and sides, then hemispherical, raised on a plain cylindrical stem and quadrangular lower base with chamfered angles [though our only source [Suisse romane (1958: pl. [285]) is not clear, the font appears to have head or such motifs still on the re-tooled (?) basin side]. The entry for this church in the Reformierte Kirchen Bern-Jura-Solothurn [https://kirchenvisite.ch/kirche/078-einigen-kirche-einigen] [accessed 16 August 2025] reports a baptismal font bearing the Bubenberg coat of arms: "ein Taufstein mit dem Bubenbergwappen". The font, showing its coay-of-arms on a side, is illustrated by a digital photograph taken 18 October 2017 by Paul Bissegger, in Wikimedia [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Einigen,_église_réformée,_fonts_baptismaux.jpg] [accessed 16 August 2025]. [NB: the coat of arms may have been part of the re-tooling of the old font]
