There is an entry for Syde [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SO9410/syde/] [accessed 24 January 2019]; it mentions a priest but not church in it, though there must have been one there. A font here is illustrated in Daubeny (1921). Noted and illustrated in The Gloucestershire Photo Library [http://www.allthecotswolds.com/] [accessed 4 January 2008]: "The font dates from the 15th Century and has an octagonal bowl and panels quatrefoiled with rose centres." Baptismal font of the Perpendicular period consisting of an octagonal basin of vertical sides decorated with a quatrefoil window with a rosette in the centre, all of it sandwiched between two bands of moulding; graded chamfered underbowl; damage visible on the upper rim of the basin, consistent with the type being caused by the forceful removal of the metal staples of the old cover; octagonal-to-square pedestal of two volumes separated by a roll moulding, with four buttressed angles. The wooden font cover is slightly combed and has an acorn finial; probably modern.
