Font Notes:
Illustrated in Daubeny (1921). Listed in Tyrrell-Green (1928) as a Norman font decorated with a zigzag or chevron motif on the basin. Noted in Verey & Brooks (1999-2002): "Font. Norman, the bowl with a band of chevron moulding." Listed in Jenkins (2000) as a Norman font "decorated with zigzag". The font consists of a cylindrical basin decorated with a band of large zig-zag motif between two mouldings, that occupies the whole side; it is raised on a plain cilindrical pedestal base and a circular lower base.
