Noted in the RCAHMW (Pembroke, 1925) as a cushion-capital font. Described in Lloyd, etc. (2001): "Norman square bowl with corner scallops and little chevrons between, circular pedestal." The lower base is square and it is raised on a square plinth. The wooden font cover is modern and incorporates a little black cross made of anthracite, the type of coal mined in the area until 1937.
