Noted in the RCAHMW (Pembroke, 1925) as an octagonal baptismal font. Described in Lloyd, etc. (2001): "Font. C13 or C15, tapering octagonal bowl, splayed in at the base, and on a round shaft." The Historic Wales Listed Building Database Record [http://jura.rcahms.gov.uk/cadw] [accessed 8 December 2010] notes: "Pembrokeshire Record Office, HPR/82/13. Coates Carter extended the chancel by 2 or 3 yards, saved the rood-loft steps, the W end, chancel arch and squint, and he retrieved the font." The Friends of Friendless Churches entry for Llandeloy [http://www.friendsoffriendlesschurches.org.uk/CMSMS/index.php?page=llandeloy-history] [accessed 8 December 2010] notes: "Both fonts are of stone; one is preserved in situ, being built up from a few ancient stones discovered during excavation, the other - an octagonal one - stands on three rough steps that are for the most part medieval, described as 'perfect' when uncovered. There is a delightful stoup and two matching piscinas carved from grey slate."
