As part of his contribution to the restoration and reconstruction of the church, Viollet-le-duc designed an original baptismal font that was made of bronze by 'bronzier' Louis Bachelet; the design is totally original including four separate compartments with their own flat covers as part of the quatrefoil design of the basin; the basin sides are decorated with protruding heads in quatrefoil frames and foliage; at each niche of the quatrefoil is a tal image which, together with the slender colonnettes that support the multiple basins, form the base; all these are raised on a circular lower base the chamfer of which is decorated with foliage; ther is no font cover proper, but the centre of the quatrefoil basin is formed by a small square pyramid with a human figure finial.
