Noted in the Victoria County History (Wiltshire, vol. 8, 1965): "The font is of the 12th or 13th century." One of several baptismal fonts in this county that have an egg-cup shaped basin, plain but for a roll moulding at the upper rim and at the bottom of the underbowl; it is raised on a cylindrical pedestal base, a circular moulded lower base and a quadrangular plinth. The flat wooden cover with metal decoration is modern.
