A record of the visitation by André Colbert, Bishop of Auxerre, on Friday 17 August 1685, by Monsigneur Gennet, informs that a baptismal font was noted near the entrance to the church, on the south side ["du costé de l'epstre"]; the font was covered by a lid hinged at the middle and provided with lock and key; inside the font well is a tin basin with a cover, as well as a cup or jug with a salve, both made of copper.
