Described in the Thisnes web site [www.netrax.org/thisnes/histcroquis/croquis.html] as a baptismal font dated to 1626, about a metre in height, the basin decorated with human heads; the brass cover dates from the mid-19th century. Also in 'Hannut est à vous' [www.hannut.be/tourisme/la-ville-et-ses-villages/thisnes/] [accessed 20 July 2015]: "fonds [sic] baptismaux, cuve ornée de têtes humaines, exécutées en 1626 (d’après inscription), pierre haute de 1,16mètre, couvercle en laiton, de la moitié du 19ème siècle." A pair of identical stone holy-water stoups dated 1701-1800 in BALaT [http://balat.kikirpa.be/photo.php?path=M027743&objnr=10031393&nr=27] [accessed 20 July 2015] is also inside the church; it consists of a small square vasin with rounded underbowl, raised on a moulded square pedestal base and a lower base of the same shape; measurements for the stoups given in the source as "hauteur: 104 cm; largeur: 41 cm". A pair of holy-water stoups probably of the 18th century are also listed in the BALaT: "hauteur: 104 cm. largeur: 41 cm".
