Noted In Baker-Jones (1970): ''The font is a plain hexagon, which has been retooled''. Baptismal font consisting of a hexagonal basin with vertical sides decorated with Gothic motifs: quatrefoils, rosettes, etc.; the underbowl chamfer is rather oddly adorned for this period [cf. Baker-Jones [supra] remark about re-tooling], in a pattern of deeply-carved foliage; octagonal stem with trefoil windows/arcade ornamenting the upper 2/3, the rest plain; hexagonal moulded lower base. Wooden font cover, flat and round but adorned with raised ribs in the Jacobean style, modern. The whole font is covered in a hedious coating of whitewash.
