The CPAT Brecknockshire Churches Survey Project [http://www.cpat.demon.co.uk/projects/longer/churches/brecon/16903.htm] [accessed 16 April 2009] mentions "significantly early font", "the putative pre-Norman font", and an "old font in north-west corner" of this church. The baptismal font now in use in the nave of this church appears to be modern, perhaps Victorian, a plain octagonal basin raised on a moulded octagonal pedestal base; on each side of the basin a large painted letter "[…] I S T […]". There is however mention on several un-corroborated sources [www.destinations-uk.com -- http://thejeffreysfamily.blogspot.com/] of a Norman basin found in the churchyard in the 1890s and kept now in the vestry.
