Described and illustrated in Orrin 1988): "The large Norman font of Sutton stone with its circular bowl has roll-moulding on its rim and a fillet surrounds the bowl near the base. It is lined with lead. It is positioned in the centre of the nave near the south door, a position suggested by Miss Olive Talbot in the restoration of the church in 1893 for, in her words, 'doctrinal and symbolical grounds'." Described and illustrated in Thurlby (2006) as a "tub-shaped font with a raised roll rim and neck" probably from the second quarter of the 12th century.
